The staff was very helpful and friendly. They helped us plan our day excursions to Capri and Amalfi. The shuttle service down to the town of Sorrento was effective and they really tried to accommodate our special needs, e.g. later picking up time, lift to the station, etc. The quadruple room on the ground floor had an outside patio that added space to the very small room.
The room, bathroom and overall impression of Johanna Park is not comparable with other four star accommodation we stayed in while in Italy. The toilet seat and hair dryer in the bathroom was broken. The paint in the room and outside the room was flaking and needed attention.
The breakfast waiter made the stay very pleadurable. Nothing was too much trouble and lessons in Italian greetings were great to here in the mornings. Very clean rooms and good customer service by most staff. Pleasant surroundings great for parking hire vehicle. Would recommend to other individual travellers
Friendly waiter, bartender, staff. My daughter was able to play with a staff member's child which was a big plus. Free wi-fi, the lobby was comfortable, welcoming, elegant. Nice to have a pool, albeit small and cold!
Info given by staff wasn't all accurate re a boat trip to Capri.
The room we got was much smaller than what we had reserved. The wireless lan (wifi) didn't work, which was something we would have really needed and was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Unfortunately the hotel and the service we got didn't feel like it should in a 4 star hotel.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
It's a pity the hotel wasn't within walking distance of Sorrento. However, the shuttle bus was handy.
The views from our room and balcony were superb- we had unobstructed seaview with Mt Vesuvius prominently standing tall in front of us and the Isle of Capri to our left. We could see the ships leaving the coast of Naples, Pompeii and Sorrento in the morning. The room itself was tacky...the sheet cover looked scary ugly...was afraid to pull them. Mercifully the bedsheets themselves were clean and crisp white. Sound insulation was alright too. The shower was ugly!!! The free breakfast was cheap
It wasn't really worth the 120Euros for a triple room but then that is what seems standard price for a 4star all around Italy. I wouldn't label it a 4star either but again, Italian standards.
